I know a lot of people that are in this category. These people
are kids in my generation that decided to go to a four year university right
after high school. Whether they graduated or not, one year can cause up to
25,000 dollars in debt. After 4 years? A 100 grand. Right out of college they
may realize that not many people hire young adult’s right after college into
high paying starting positions. A lot of competitive jobs start with an
interning position, which most of the time has no pay at all. With this large
debt and little to no money, moving in with your parents is sometimes the only
option. Hopefully the twixter will not digress and become financially dependent
on the parents and never get a job. These kids are not financially stable to
start a family for years, sometimes decades. In my opinion though, that isn’t the
worst aspect of being a twixter. The generation with the most Nuclear families,
also had the highest divorce rate which suggest that if time were spent choosing
the right partner, then maybe they would have ended up with a higher success
rate. The twixter generation has more time to weigh and consider their options. Maybe this twixter generation isn’t so horrible after all.
Twixsters is not the route one wants to pursue post graduating. It will slow down your life and back track you for something unpleasant in life. Staying on the right track will enable your life to be successful
